Membership Cancellation Terms
<< Please read and review carefully before completing your cancellation >>
Cancellation & Billing
The Infinite List is a membership community that requires a subscription; however, there is no long-term commitment or contract. At the same time, there are no refunds, so any cancellation will take effect upon the completion of the currently paid cycle - either one month or one year.
If you are considering cancelling, please bear in mind that your membership will continue in full until the end of your billing cycle. Use the remainder of your time to maximum effect by participating in any giveaways that you can (if they drop within your billing cycle), attending our community calls and completing our training modules.
Upon cancellation, the following actions will occur, and it is important that you are aware of the potential repercussions:
ILM Tokens
Upon cancellation, any unused ILM Tokens in your account will be "frozen". They will not be available for use of any kind while in this frozen state; however, upon reinstatement, they will once again be available to you. NOTE: the value of the Tokens themselves may drop if at some point in the future the giveaway requirements are changed. For example, at the time of this writing, it requires 4 ILM Tokens to participate as a Basic Contributor in a giveaway. If you cancel your membership while holding 20 ILM Tokens, they have a value of 5 giveaways; however, if the requirement goes to 5 Tokens per giveaways, you would then only have enough tokens for 4 giveaways.
Your ILM Tokens may not be sold, exchanged or even gifted while your account is inactive (your membership cancelled).
Non-Members do NOT earn ILM Tokens when participating as a contributor in our giveaways.
There is a $125 reinstatement fee should you decide to rejoin within 12 months, and the full first-month fee if it is longer than a year. Please keep this in mind as you consider cancellation.
Removal from Giveaways
Upon cancellation, you will be removed from any Infinite List giveaways that begin outside of your final billing term. This does NOT include giveaways that fall during your final month. For example, if your cancellation takes effect on October 3rd, and you are signed up for a giveaway that begins on October 2nd, you will still be able to participate in that giveaway.
If this happens, you will still be expected to email according to the terms of the giveaway and any ILM Tokens in your account will be subject to forfeiture should you fail to mail, according to our regular Terms & Conditions.
If you are scheduled to be the host of your own giveaway and it falls outside of your cancellation date, the following terms will apply:
- If we are within 1 week of the giveaway's opening date, and there are an adequate number of contributors to move forward (15+), the Infinite List may choose to still run the giveaway in one of the following ways:
- If you, as the host, wish to pay for the services of our Done-For-You Giveaway, you may do so, and you will collect all of the leads as per our usual procedures, or...
- If you do NOT wish to pay for our services, Infinite List has the right to remove you from the giveaway, change the name of the giveaway to one of our own choosing, and continue to run the giveaway without you.
- If you do NOT choose to pay for our Done-For-You services, you also forego any claim to commissions that may be derived from us running the giveaway, including payments made by anyone you referred to be a part of that giveaway.
- If your giveaway is more than 1 week after your cancellation date, it is subject to our internal review and any decisions regarding moving forward with the giveaway will be at the sole discretion of the ILM Management Team.
- While we may choose to go forward with the running of the giveaway in support of our registered members, we also maintain the right to simply cancel the giveaway and refund the ILM Tokens used by our members.
DFY GIVEAWAY SERVICES:
While our regular pricing for our Done-For-You Giveaway is $2,997, we may offer an extensive discount to any cancelling member at our own discretion. The discounted offer will be based upon the following:
- How many total contributors have already signed up for the giveaway.
- How many PAID contributors have signed up for the giveaway.
- How much work on our part has already been completed for the giveaway.
- How aligned the giveaway is to our membership in general (is it in a niche that best supports our members overall).
The bottom line is this - if you are looking at cancelling your membership and it is close to the beginning of your own giveaway, you may want to wait until AFTER your giveaway has opened its doors.
Access Denied
KAJABI MEMBER PORTAL:
Any cancellation will result in your removal from our Kajabi members portal. This means that you will no longer have access to our training modules, our giveaway calendar, our resources page, or any other aspects of membership that may be released inside of Kajabi in the future.
FACEBOOK COMMUNITY:
Upon cancellation, you will be removed from our private Facebook group. You may continue participation in our public group, the List-Builder's Lounge, if you wish.
COMMUNITY CALLS:
If you cancel your membership, you will no longer receive invitations or reminders to our group calls, and will not be allowed in the room should you attempt to show up based on a previous link. As these calls are for community members only, we will strictly enforce this policy.
Commissions
Your quarterly commissions are based upon your membership status at the end of the quarter in question. Members receive a 30% commission, while non-members receive only a 15% commission.
Thus, if your membership cancellation becomes effective on March 20th, your 1st quarter commissions (if any) will be paid out at 15%. If your cancellation becomes effective on April 3rd, you would be commissioned at 30% for the 1st quarter and 15% on any quarter thereafter.
Should you decide to reinstate your membership, your commissions will increase to the members rate based on referral revenues received AFTER your reinstatement date. For example, if your cancellation was effective on April 3rd, and you rejoin on June 27th - you will NOT be commissioned at 30% for any referral payments before June 27th. This rule is in place to prevent people from canceling and rejoining only to game our commission structure.
WHAT THIS MEANS:
In a nutshell, Member commissions are twice as much as Non-Members; therefore, if you have referred 7 members and are being commissioned on them, you are better off to keep your own membership active EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT PARTICIPATING.
Example: If you have referred 7 members, each paying $100/month (our lowest ever rate), your Member commission would be $210 (7 x $100 x 30% = $210). Assuming your membership dues are also at the lowest rate of $100, this would mean that you are earning $110 in profit ($210 commissions minus $100 dues = $110 to you).
If you cancel your membership, your commission would drop to $105 (7 x $100 x 15% = $105) which is $5 less than you would be making if you kept your membership active.
REINSTATEMENT
While there are no long-term contracts with the Infinite List and members may cancel at any time, there are additional fees associated with rejoining at a later date.
Should you choose to cancel your membership, you may be subject to a reinstatement fee according to our current rules of engagement. We highly frown upon members opting in and out of the community. We look at it like this: You're Either In or You're Out. We treat all members like savvy entrepreneurs, and we expect them to act as such. Jumping in and out does not serve anyone and is detrimental to our community as a whole; therefore, if we see any member being flaky in this way, we may bar you from rejoining at our discretion.
However, we do understand that someone may go on hiatus for a while, or might perhaps be going through either financial hardship or health issues. For such members, we welcome you back at any time, though still subject to our rules of engagement. In many instances, you may be better off keeping your membership current even if you are not actively participating (see other segments above).
GOING RATE:
Regardless of your reason for cancellation, you will be giving up your current membership rate and will be subject to the going rate at the time of reinstatement. We anticipate that our pricing will eventually climb to $150/month (or more) with a $500 initiation fee. Please be sure to consider this before canceling your membership.
We intend to continue adding services without increasing the price for current members. When someone joins, they are locked in at that investment until they cancel - even as we offer more to our member base. New and rejoining members will be subject to the higher pricing that goes along with the additional services.
REINSTATEMENT FEE:
Our current reinstatement fee is $125 if you choose to rejoin during the 12 months following your cancellation date, and this fee is subject to change. If you wait more than 12 months and then want to rejoin, you will be subject to the current onboarding/initiation fee at the time EVEN THOUGH YOU HAD BEEN ONBOARDED BEFORE. This fee is expected to rise to $500.
Please keep these potential expenses in mind before you cancel your membership.
